The TREND VARIO-VOLANT narrow awning – fits into every gap

When there is limited space available, conventional awnings quickly reach their limit. The TREND narrow awning with VARIO-VOLANT valance is the right choice for these situations – it combines the benefits of the VENTURA TREND with special intersecting folding arms. These allow more projection than width, making them the ideal solution if space is limited but an awning is indispensable.

With the addition of a VARIO-VOLANT valance, the TREND narrow awning both ensures privacy and provides customised shade that can be ideally adjusted to the course of the sun – a must for west-facing balconies or terraces at sunset. In the standard version the valance is operated manually using a crank gear. You have a choice of many combination options, thanks to different fabrics and drive types such as motorized, with radio control or as a manual retractable awning.

 

Particularly heavily loaded awning components, such as arm brackets or folding-arm parts, are made from hardened aluminium. Our special manufacturing process creates more resistant awning components and also improves the safety and the durability of the parts. LEINER LOUNGE Colours for awningsThe TREND VARIO-VOLANT narrow awning is available with a maximum projection of 400 cm. In the standard version an electric motor is included. It is not possible to supply coupled systems.

The TREND VARIO-VOLANT narrow awning comes in the standard colours white (RAL 9010), LEINER LOUNGE fine structured grey or LEINER LOUNGE fine structured dark grey or, for an additional charge, in one of the other 16 LEINER LOUNGE fine structured finishes. We can also supply them in any preferred RAL colour for an additional charge – ask your specialist partner for advice.

Narrow awning with wind protect systemWind Protect System

The Wind Protect System WPS is an innovation of LEINER and was originally developed for the more stringent requirements of awnings for cafés and restaurants. The Wind Protect System WPS is now also available for the TREND VARIO-VOLANT: fixable supports on the front profile significantly enhance the wind stability of your awning. Depending on the size of the awning, the WPS offers protection from winds up to wind strength 8 – even in the event of sudden gusts of wind. The TREND VARIO-VOLANT narrow awning can be fitted with a fixed hood profile.

In the standard version a radio-controlled motor is available as an optional extra instead of the electric motor, allowing the awning to be extended and retracted conveniently by remote control. On request, the TREND VARIO-VOLANT narrow awning can also be operated manually with a crank (lower price). The valance can be conveniently retracted and extended using a crank. If the awning is fitted with a radio-controlled motor, the VARIO-VOLANT valance can also be fitted with such a motor – for maximum convenience.

The SAFETY MOTION emergency manual drive is the last-resort concept for your awning – if the radio-controlled motor does not work, the TREND VARIO-VOLANT narrow awning can be closed manually by crank with the emergency manual drive.

The radio-controlled motor drive variant can also be supplemented with a 3D sensor. Attached to the front profile, the sensor responds to the intensity of the movement of the awning, retracting it automatically if the wind gets too strong. Please note, however, that an electronic control will not protect your awning from sudden strong gusts of wind.

Fully automated controls complement the electric drive and offer additional comfort and safety as sun and wind monitors, automatically extending or retracting your awning according to the sunlight or wind strength, even when you are not at home. Please note, however, that an electronic control will not protect your awning from sudden strong gusts of wind. An alternative is the manual Wind Protect System WPS. This optional extra variant stabilises your awning and also absorbs the sudden loads produced by gusts.

A heater that can be easily mounted on the wall or bracket tube delivers pleasant warmth under your awning, such as in the evening or on cool autumn days (also remote operated on request).

The CALYPSO ROLL side awning protects against both sunlight from the side and inquisitive glances – making it the perfect complement to the TREND VARIO-VOLANT narrow awning for your terrace or balcony. The side awning protects also against light wind.

    Where installation space is confined, the TREND narrow awning is the right solution.Thanks to the crossing folding arms, more projection than width can be provided – while retaining stability.

  • LEINER LOUNGE COLOURS
    xThe LEINER LOUNGE COLOURS are used for the awning components and are characterised by a very finely structured surface and special metallic effect. The particularly high-grade powder coating is available in a total of 18 colours and is also extremely robust.
  • Torsion bar
    x

    The arm brackets with the folding arms as well as the fixing brackets both are attached to the torsion bar. All forces are transmitted from the awning fabric to the fastening in the awning in the brickwork by the torsion bar. So, the bigger the dimensions of the torsion bar, the bigger the forces that can be handled. LEINER uses torsion bars of size 40 x 40 millimetres.

  • Hardened aluminium
    x

    This is a special aluminium alloy that is given additional hardness through a subsequent thermal process. The material guarantees long life and resistance and meets the highest safety requirements. The special LEINER manufacturing process doubles the resistance and results in a durable strength of up to 350 N/mm². Thanks to the hardened aluminium, even awnings with a projection of 4 metres and on the other hand heavier profiles with an additional VARIO-VOLANT valance can be realized.

  • Extruded aluminium

    Aluminium can be deformed under very high pressure. The extrusion process forces aluminium through a mould to produce profiles which can, for instance, be used as cassettes for cassette awnings.
