The CAPRI folding arm awning – the entry model

With many variants, the CAPRI entry model offers a convincing combination of quality and long life. The resilient folding arm system keeps the awning fabric taut – and you can choose between a visible front profile or one that is concealed by the fabric.

 

If the folding arm awning is to be mounted in an unprotected location, the awning fabric will be exposed to wind and weather. The patented adjustable hood profile, proposed as an accessory, can be adapted to the awning inclination.

 

Particularly heavily loaded awning components, such as arm brackets or folding arms, are made from hardened aluminium. Our special manufacturing process not only makes the awning components more resistant, but also enhances the safety and long life of our awnings. Details

LEINER LOUNGE awning coloursThe CAPRI is available in a maximum width of 600 cm and a maximum projection of 400 cm, coupled systems in a maximum width of 1,200 cm and a maximum projection of 400 cm. In the standard version an electric motor is included.

The CAPRI comes in the standard colours white (RAL 9010), LEINER LOUNGE grey or LEINER LOUNGE dark grey or, for an additional charge, in one of the other 16 LEINER LOUNGE fine structured finishes. We can also supply them in any preferred RAL colour for an additional charge.

CAPRI awning with wind protect systemWind Protect System

The Wind Protect System WPS is an innovation of LEINER and was originally developed for the more stringent requirements of awnings for cafés and restaurants. The Wind Protect System WPS is now also available for the CAPRI: fixable supports on the front profile significantly enhance the wind stability of your awning. Depending on the size of the awning, the WPS offers protection from winds up to wind strength 8 – even sudden gusts. CAPRI awning with hood profileHood profile

The CAPRI can be fitted with a hood profile to maintain the enjoyment of the quality of the awning fabric as long as possible. You can choose between a classic fixed or adjustable patented hood profile. The adjustable hood profile can be used for single systems and adjusted to the corresponding awning inclination to provide optimum protection.

 

Awning driveDrive

A radio-controlled motor is available instead of an electric motor in the standard version. The Somfy io wireless technology means that not only can the awning be extended and retracted using the remote control, but you can also use your smartphone to control it if necessary. The io wireless system allows your awning to be integrated into your smart home. On request, the CAPRI can also be operated manually with a crank (lower price).

The radio-controlled motor drive variant can also be supplemented with a 3D sensor. Attached to the front profile, the sensor responds to the intensity of the movement of the awning, retracting it automatically if the wind gets too strong. Please note, however, that an electronic control will not protect your awning from sudden strong gusts of wind.

 

CAPRI awning's fully automated controlControl

Fully automated controls complement the electric drive and offer additional comfort and safety as sun and wind monitors, automatically extending or retracting your awning according to the sunlight or wind strength, even when you are not at home. Please note, however, that an electronic control will not protect your awning from sudden strong gusts of wind. An alternative is the manual Wind Protect System WPS. This optional extra variant stabilises your awning and also absorbs the sudden loads produced by gusts.

Heaters in LEINER LOUNGE ColoursHeater

A heater allows you to sit out longer on those balmy summer evenings and enjoy the pleasant warmth under your awning. The heaters are also available in one of our 18 LEINER LOUNGE colours to match the awning. You also have the option of operating it wirelessly and integrating it into your smart home.

 

CAPRI Awning with side awningCALYPSO ROLL side awning

The CALYPSO ROLL side awning protects against both sunlight from the side and inquisitive glances – making it the perfect complement to the CAPRI for your terrace or balcony. The side awning protects also against light wind.

  • Wind Protect System (WPS)

    The Wind Protect System WPS is an innovation of LEINER and was originally developed for the more stringent requirements of awnings for the gastronomy. Fixable supports on the front profile significantly enhance the wind stability of your awning. Depending on the size of the awning, the WPS offers protection from winds of up to wind strength 8, even in the event of sudden gusts of wind.

  • Hardened aluminium
    x

    This is a special aluminium alloy that is given additional hardness through a subsequent thermal process. The material guarantees long life and resistance and meets the highest safety requirements. The special LEINER manufacturing process doubles the resistance and results in a durable strength of up to 350 N/mm². Thanks to the hardened aluminium, even awnings with a projection of 4 metres and on the other hand heavier profiles with an additional VARIO-VOLANT valance can be realized.

  • Arm bracket
    x

    Arm brackets are among the most heavily used components of an awning. LEINER uses hardened aluminium. The arm brackets must withstand extreme leverage forces, as the folding arms of the awning are attached to them.

  • Emergency crank handle motors (SAFETY MOTION)
    x

    The SAFETY MOTION emergency manual drive is the contingency plan for your awning. If the radio-controlled motor does not work, the awning can be closed manually by crank with the emergency manual drive.

  • Rain hood
    x

    When an open folding arm awning is retracted, a rain hood protects it from dirt and weather. This also so called hood profile, is particularly recommended if the awning is mounted on an unprotected facade. As an alternative, LEINER offers a patented, adjustable hood profile, which can be adjusted optimally to the awning's inclanation.
