The CALYPSO ROLL side awning perfectly complements your awning on the terrace or balcony because it protects against lateral sunlight and inquisitive glances. The custom made side awning protects also against light wind. The CALYPSO ROLL attractively combines quality with smoothly assembly and practical handling, while the extension aid ensures many years of hassle-free operation. Its high-grade handles are also available with an optional child-proof lock.

 

The CALYPSO ROLL comes in a number of forms: as an asymmetrical system, with a PVC window and with different types of fabric. It is attached to posts or the wall and can be pulled out horizontally by hand. A spring-loaded roller ensures that the fabric always rolls up fully on retraction. The fabric cassette can be mounted flush with the wall so that the fabric is protected from weather and dust.

Details

LEINER LOUNGE awning coloursThe maximum projection of the CALYPSO ROLL is between 200 and 600 cm and depends on the type of fabric as well as the version (cassette height, PVC window, asymmetrical system).

 

The CALYPSO ROLL comes in the standard colours white (RAL 9010), LEINER LOUNGE grey or LEINER LOUNGE dark grey or, for an additional charge, in one of the other 16 LEINER LOUNGE fine structured finishes. We can also supply them in any preferred RAL colour for an additional charge – ask your specialist partner for advice.

Handles of the side awning Calypso RollPull handle options

The handle is alternatively available in the CALYPSO ROLL frame colour, a stainless steel version or either Kambala or Robinia wood (in the picture on the left hand side).

 

Child lock

Supplemented with a child lock, the handle of the CALYPSO ROLL can be fixed to the pole. To loosen the handle, you must first remove a safety bolt – preventing the side awning being opened inadvertently.

A removable pole is only used where necessary.

 

What is...?

  • Creases
    x

    During the fabric's processing, creases cannot be avoided at all. Held against the light, those creases can appear as lightly dark stripes. They do not impair the function or life of the awning fabric in any way.

  • Extruded aluminium
    x

    Aluminium can be deformed under very high pressure. The extrusion process forces aluminium through a mould to produce profiles which can, for instance, be used as cassettes for cassette awnings.

  • Acrylic fibre
    x

    Awning fabrics are mainly manufactured with acrylic fibres. These are highly resistant to the strong effect of sunlight. They are also very tear-resistant and colour-fast.

  • Powder coating
    x

    LEINER aluminium components are almost always powder-coated. In powder coating, a coloured powder is sprayed onto the surface to be coated; then the powder is "baked on" by thermal treatment. Powder-coated surfaces are characterised by high resistance and colour fastness.

  • LEINER LOUNGE COLOURS
    xThe LEINER LOUNGE COLOURS are used for the awning components and are characterised by a very finely structured surface and special metallic effect. The particularly high-grade powder coating is available in a total of 18 colours and is also extremely robust.
