The PURO SD window awning – with wire guidance

The PURO SD window awning – with wire guidance

The PURO window awning systems were designed for mounting in protected locations, such as under eaves, in a niche or in a shaft. In contrast to the ARCO and CANTO window awning systems, in the PURO vertical sun protection the exposed, uncovered fabric roller is mounted in two side bearings. The SD variant is a vertical awning with wire guidance; a spring system (spring cup) keeps the cable permanently tensioned. The PURO is particularly easy to mount.

Details

The PURO SD is available as a single system with the following maximum sizes:

Width up to 300 cm, height 500 cm

Width up to 450 cm, height 450 cm

Width up to 500 cm, height 400 cm

The possible widths and maximum heights depend on the chosen awning fabric, as the properties of the various materials result in different maximum dimensions.

In the standard version an electric motor is included. A radio-controlled motor is available as an optional extra, allowing the awning to be extended and retracted conveniently by remote control. The awning can also be supplied with a crank drive on request (lower price).

The PURO SD comes in the standard colours traffic white (RAL 9016) or white aluminium (RAL 9006) – ask your specialist partner for advice.

Control

Fully automated controls complement the electric drive and offer additional comfort and safety as sun and wind monitors.

Awning fabric with transparent PVC window

For an additional charge you can get an awning fabric with a transparent PVC window – and there is a wide range of window versions to choose from.

Important user information for awnings with PVC windows: Please note, due to the different material properties it is inevitable that fabrics with PVC windows will form creases. If the PVC window material is used at temperatures around the freezing point, it will become harder, thereby changing the winding behaviour. We therefore recommend not to use the awning, at temperatures of 0° or below.

What is...?

  • Fabric roller
    x

The awning fabric is rolled up on the pivoted fabric roller. The awning drive (gear or motor) is also located in the fabric roller, which is usually made of steel.

  • Extruded aluminium
    x

Aluminium can be deformed under very high pressure. The extrusion process forces aluminium through a mould to produce profiles which can, for instance, be used as cassettes for cassette awnings.

  • Width of awning
    x

The width of the awning is by definition greater than the width of the awning fabric.

  • Impregnation
    x

The finish or impregnation of the LEINER awning fabrics protects the fibres from environmental influences. It repels dirt, fat, water and oil. The lotus effect known in nature is imitated through special textile finishing processes, preventing the formation of mould and algae on the fabric.

  • Powder coating
    x

LEINER aluminium components are almost always powder-coated. In powder coating, a coloured powder is sprayed onto the surface to be coated; then the powder is "baked on" by thermal treatment. Powder-coated surfaces are characterised by high resistance and colour fastness.
